In many countries in the world one of the big challenges is the growing number of healthcare workers suffering from musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). This in spite of the fact that several studies in the past 25 years show there is a correlation between transferring patients by manual lifting and other unsafe transfer methods and MSD.
Studies tell us that manual lifting exceeding 15 to 20 kg leads to small damages of important structures of the back spine, and that these small damages when they are accumulated over time will course MSD. Molift strive to transform this insight why into effective functional and visual product design.
